Dr. Panunti earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine Washington, DC. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and her fellowship in Endocrinology at Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, LA.
Dr. Panunti joined the Ochsner Health, Section of Endocrinology in 2006. She practices endocrinology at the Ochsner Jefferson Highway campus.
Dr. Panunti is part of the endocrine multidisciplinary clinic delivering a team approach to endocrine disorders that may require both medical and surgical treatment. She specializes in transgender care and helped develop Ochsner’s Transgender Patient Care Physician Training Modules, Ochsner’s EPIC transgender toolkit and a gender clinic.
She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and holds memberships the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, World Professional Association of Transgender Health, and the Endocrine Society.
