Staff, Endocrinology
Dr. Dendy was born and raised in the New Orleans area. He earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, St. Maarten. Following graduation he returned to New Orleans and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans where he also served as chief resident. He completed fellowship in Endocrinology at Ochsner Medical Center. He practices endocrinology at the Ochsner Jefferson Highway and Baptist campuses. Dr. Dendy is part of the endocrine multidisciplinary clinic delivering a team approach to endocrine disorders that may require both medical and surgical treatment. Such disorders include thyroid nodules/thyroid cancer, thyroid goiter, parathyroid adenomas, and adrenal nodules/tumors. He has a particular interest in disorders of the thyroid, and interprets diagnostic neck/thyroid ultrasounds and performs fine-needle aspiration biopsies of the thyroid. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. He has also received his Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He holds memberships in the American College of Physicians, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Endocrine Society and the American Thyroid Association.
