Archives and Special Collections
The purpose of the Ochsner Archives is to acquire, arrange, describe, and preserve the historically significant records of Ochsner Health and to make these materials available to authorized researchers.
Although traditional institutional archives accept only photographic images and written materials, the Ochsner Archives also collects artifacts that help to complete the historical picture of the institution. Types of artifacts that are frequently considered include:
alumni records of Ochsner staff
audio recordings and transcripts
committee reports and minutes
logs or registers
papers written by Ochsner staff
video recordings and transcripts
