    Research Requirements (5%):

    Ochsner Health has an active research program, with support for project planning and management, IRB submission, data extraction, data analysis, and writing. The neuropsychology section is actively involved in research specific to neuropsychology with some of the ongoing areas of interest listed below: There is over $4,000,000 in funded research currently ongoing in the Cognitive Disorders and Brain Health Program. Studies include:

      1. Building a database of patients seen by our service
      2. Assessing the feasibility of incorporating telehealth and technology into treatment on a unit for inpatient memory care at a local nursing home
      3. Conducting an Alzheimer’s Clinical Trial
      4. Creating a dementia registry via the CareEcosystem model.

      Fellows are expected to either participate in at least one research project/ develop their own project with a goal of at least one submission to an academic conference or journal, or design a program development project. Additional participation is encouraged, as schedules and interest permit.
