Radiologic Technology Class of 2021

The University of Holy Cross Radiologic Technology Program is in affiliation with Ochsner is pleased to announce that 13 students graduated on April 30, following five semesters of professional training in Ochsner Radiology Departments and the Ochsner Center for Academic Excellence.

With circumstances surrounding COVID-19, this graduating class faced much adversity when they unexpectedly transitioned to virtual didactic learning mid-March 2020 which lasted an entire year. Their clinical education was paused mid-March 2020 and resumed June 2020. Despite all, this class remained undeterred to successfully complete their didactic and clinical learning and the program requirements on time.

Each graduate was awarded a certificate to commemorate their completion of the Ochsner/UHC Radiologic Technology Professional Training Component. Ten of the graduates are now Registered Technologists having passed the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification Examination on their first attempt. Their success on this exam upholds the program’s first-attempt exam pass rate of 100%--which began with the first graduating class in 1972. The remaining graduates are expected to take this exam in within the next two months.

As of May 2021, nine graduates joined Ochsner Health’s Radiology workforce!
