Why Infectious Diseases?
It keeps everything I like about internal medicine without losing anything. I get to see all kinds of patients with all kinds of pre-existing conditions. I get to work with every kind of specialists in the healthcare system. I get to see pathologies from every organ system.
Curing an infection is also very satisfying. We have a clear enemy that we fight and beat.
My favorite cases to take care of are the ones that make me think. I love trying to solve a medical mystery.

Why Ochsner?
