Accessing EPIC - Allied Health Sciences
Access to Ochsner's Electronic Medical Record system, Epic, is limited to select programs of study. If the student is from one of these programs, they will receive an ADID and password after all other registration steps are complete. It takes 4-6 weeks to generate an ADID and assign OLN modules. Follow these steps to gain Epic access.
Step 1 - Receive ADID and Password. You will be assigned an Authority and Description Identifier (ADID) and a temporary password. This will be sent to the email address on the rotation request form.
Step 2 – Change Password in Ochsner's self service password enrollment application, MyPassword. You must change the temporary password to a unique password. Password is case sensitive.
Step 3 – Register Password Enroll in Ochsner’s self service password reset application within MyPassword. It is imperative to set up your three security questions in order to reset your password in the future and to interact with the IS Service Desk if needed.
Step 4 – Complete Online Learning Modules. Students are required to complete a yearly online learning module through the online learning management system (OLN). Login using the ADID and newly reset password as directed in the OLN Access Form. Use the OLN Reference Guide for additional guidance. Epic access will be activated within 2-3 business days of completion of ALL training modules. Allow 4-5 business days after ALL modules are completed for Epic access to be activated.
If you have already completed the modules for a previous Ochsner rotation, you do not need to take them again. If additional modules may have been added, these will need to be completed. Your access will be reactivated with the same ADID and password used in your previous rotation. If you have forgotten your password, please visit MyPassword.Ochsner.org to reset. Please note that Epic training conducted at other institutions will not be admissible at Ochsner.
