Steps for Student Epic Access
**Please note that students may NOT use their preceptor’s login information**
Step 1: Documentation
Ensure that all required documentation is submitted to your program and that the program has uploaded all these materials to InPlace (students do NOT access InPlace directly). Please ensure that all paperwork is entered at least 2 weeks in advance of the rotation start date.
Step 2: Provisioning
When all documentation has been uploaded, student information will be submitted for student provisioning. This can take 4-6 weeks. Each student will be assigned an Authority and Description Identifier (ADID). The student placement coordinator at each Ochsner Health facility will send student ADIDs for each rotation group in an email to the group’s instructor. The instructor will then distribute ADIDs to students, along with instructions for student access.
Step 3: Register & Change Password in My Password
Log in to My Password Enrollment. You will need to change the temporary password to a unique password. Enroll in Ochsner’s self-service password reset application.
Step 4: Complete all Epic modules in OLN
Students are required to complete a yearly online learning module through the Ochsner Learning Network (OLN). You will login using your ADID and newly reset password. Click here for instructions for accessing OLN
Step 5: Verify Epic Access
Your EPIC access will be activated upon completion of the learning module. Please allow 3-5 business days after completion of the module for activation. Upon activation, the Epic icon should appear on the desktop of Ochsner network computers upon login. You will login using your ADID and the password that you created in Step 3.
