Epic EMR Access - Clinical Education
Some programs of study and accompanying instructors will be granted access to the Epic electronic medical record during the onboarding process. Once placement has been confirmed by Clinical Education, please monitor your email inbox for log in and training instructions. Do allow 2-3 business days following completion of Workday Learn Epic training modules for access to be updated. If authorized to do so, ensure you can successfully log in to Epic prior to first day of report.
Problems regarding Epic access should be directed to the IS Service Desk, reachable 24 hours a day by phone at 504-842-3610. For most efficient and effective assistance, please
- Communicate identity as that of a student
- Set up Security Questions in MyPassword if possible
- Have photo ID available
- Ensure video call capable device is available
Nursing instructors must register for access prior to the start of each semester. Orientation is required for new instructors.
