All clinical education experience and rotation requests must be submitted via InPlace Network by a representative from an education institution. The institution must have an active academic affiliation agreement with Ochsner Health in order to request rotation. Child Life specialist candidates must contact ClinicalEducation@ochsner.org for program specific affiliation and onboarding.

Nursing programs must be approved for clinical rotation by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. Graduate nursing students must have an active RN license for the state in which the clinical experience will take place or a compact license.

Do not reach out to providers, clinicians, and staff members at facilities. Direct all requests to your school coordinator, including sites, supervisors, and preceptors of interest. These will be relayed to Clinical Education on your behalf. Rotation requests will not be accepted nor processed via email.

All rotation requests must be approved by Clinical Education prior to reporting to any facility. As your anticipated rotation date approaches, monitor your inbox for emails regarding clearance confirmation, outstanding compliance needs, and other crucial communications. Following completion of your rotation, you will receive an invitation to complete a brief survey regarding your experience.

The Student Handbook is updated on an annual and rolling basis. It is expected for all attending students and instructors to be aware of and abide by the numerous policies, procedures, and resources contained within.
