The admissions process requires a formal application and interview process. Once the required application materials have been received by the Program, applicants are scheduled for interviews. Each applicant will interview with the members of the Program Committee. If all members of the committee are not available, the applicant will interview with at least a majority of the committee members or their designated substitutes.

Upon completion of the interviews, each interviewer provides an evaluation to the Program Director who will compile the information for each candidate. The scores for each candidate are presented to all the Program Committee members for discussion at the next scheduled Program Committee meeting. Ranking of applicants is done using the average scores from the interview evaluations with the lowest score being best. In the case where there is a tie, the final decision will be made by the medical physicist members of the Program Committee.

Applications will be accepted through mid-January for positions beginning on July 1. Applications will be taken using the AAPM Common Application Program (CAP) system. Interviews for candidates will be conducted in February, and first offers will be conveyed on the national match day.
