Dr. Sunni Primeaux is one of the OPDI co-Training Directors and oversees the internship’s Adult Track. Dr. Primeaux received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL, an APA-accredited doctoral program. She completed an APA-accredited doctoral internship at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) in New Orleans, LA. Upon completion of her predoctoral internship, Dr. Primeaux continued her postdoctoral training at SLVHCS for an additional year, specializing in primary care mental health integration (PCMHI) and behavioral medicine. In 2020, she joined the department of psychology at Ochsner Health, where she serves as a clinical psychologist and provides primarily manualized, evidence-based interventions for a variety of presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, insomnia, and chronic pain. She is also the lead bariatric psychologist on staff, conducting pre-surgical evaluations and working with those who have various compulsive eating patterns. Dr. Primeaux is an active member of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science. She is licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Louisiana.

Dr. Reuther received her Doctor of Philosophy degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and received her Master of Science degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA She completed her doctoral internship in Child/Pediatric Psychology at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, and she completed a fellowship in trauma-focused Child Psychology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Dr. Reuther’s primary clinical practice is in Pediatric Psychology, focusing children and adolescents with both medical and behavioral health needs and chronic/recurrent medical conditions. These services are provided in the outpatient setting through therapeutic interventions and interdisciplinary clinics, as well as through the inpatient consultation-liaison service. Dr. Reuther also specializes in providing evidence-based interventions for posttraumatic stress in children and adolescents, as well as evidence-based interventions for pediatric eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. Dr. Reuther is an active member of the Louisiana Psychological Association, serving as president of LPA in 2020-2021, and currently serving as chair of the LPA legislative committee. Dr. Reuther is also an active member of the American Psychological Association (APA), including the Society of Pediatric Psychology.
