Kaleb Ashworth is a certified athletic trainer and sports medicine assistant in the sports department in New Orleans. He serves as the program director of the SMA residency program. Kaleb is a graduate of the Ochsner Sports Medicine Assistant residency program. He also serves as the SMA surgical lead in the New Orleans region.
Dr. Jeremy Burnham is medical director of Sports Medicine at Ochsner – Baton Rouge. He serves as the medical director and a Baton Rouge site core faculty member for the SMA Residency Program. He is a team physician for Southern University and several high schools in the Baton Rouge area. Dr. Burnham is a graduate of the Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Residency Program at the University of Kentucky, and completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Deryk Jones is section head of sports medicine at the Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Institute. He is a team physician for the New Orleans Pelicans and several collegiate and high school teams throughout the New Orleans area. He is a professor in orthopedic surgery at Ochsner Clinical School and the University of Queensland, Australia. Dr. Jones is a graduate of the Orthopaedics Residency Program at Harvard and completed a shoulder surgery and sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Misty Suri is co-medical director and a New Orleans site core faculty member for the SMA Residency Program. He is a team physician for the New Orleans Pelicans, University of New Orleans, Dillard University, Delgado, SUNO, Xavier and several high schools in the New Orleans area. Dr. Suri is a graduate of the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation and completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas.
Payton Baum is a certified athletic trainer and sports medicine assistant in the orthopedics department at Ochsner in New Orleans. She serves as the site lead for the New Orleans site. Payton is a graduate of the Athletic Training Residency Program at Emory Sports Medicine.
Dr. Sean Bradley is a primary care sports medicine physician and serves as a core faculty member for the Baton Rouge site of the SMA Residency Program. He is a team physician for Southern University and several high schools in the Baton Rouge area. Dr. Bradley is a graduate of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Utah and completed the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Lauren Leslie is a primary care sports medicine physician and serves as a core faculty member for the New Orleans site of the SMA Residency Program. She is a team physician for several universities and high schools in the New Orleans area. Dr. Leslie is a graduate of the Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine Residency at Michigan State University and completed a sports medicine fellowship at Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine - Virginia Tech.
Dr. Scott Montgomery is an orthopedic surgeon and serves as a core faculty member for the New Orleans site of the SMA Residency Program. He is a team physician for the New Orleans Pelicans, Xavier University, Delgado Community College and several high schools in the New Orleans area. Dr. Montgomery is a graduate of orthopedic residency at Tulane University and completed an orthopedics sports medicine fellowship at the University of Virginia.
