Our goal is to provide a high level of physical therapy treatment of gender specific conditions to the community, Ochsner Health is pleased to host a post-graduate residency program to develop advanced practitioners in the field of women’s and pelvic health. The program will focus on presenting the most current, evidence-based curriculum possible, while providing mentorship by highly trained, board-certified therapists, and collaborating with some of the most well-respected physicians in our region. The program will be a full-time, 13-month learning experience, combing didactic curriculum, clinical practice, structured mentorship, and physician collaboration.

The Ochsner Women’s Health Physical Therapy Residency Program has been granted candidacy and will seek accreditation through the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency & Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE), making it the only Women’s Health program in the Gulf Coast Region.

Graduates of the Ochsner’s Women’s and Pelvic Health Residency will be well prepared to sit for the Women’s Clinical Specialist (WCS) examination, along with becoming an integral part of the community through the creation of research, and community outreach.

The inaugural cohort began late fall 2023, and will last 13 months.
