Ochsner Health is pleased to host a post-graduate residency program to develop advanced practitioners in the field of women’s and pelvic health. The program will focus on presenting the most current, evidence-based curriculum that focuses on the unique rehabilitation needs of our patients throughout their lifespan. This will include conditions related to pelvic floor dysfunction, women’s health issues and other pelvic floor specific concerns. The residents will be provided 1:1 mentorship by highly trained, board-certified therapists and will also be collaborating with some of the most well-respected physicians in our region. The program will be a full-time, 13-month learning experience, combing didactic curriculum, clinical practice, structured mentorship, and physician collaboration.

The Ochsner Women’s Health Physical Therapy Residency Program is an accredited program through the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education (ABPTRFE), making it the only Women’s Health Physical Therapy Residency Program in the Gulf Coast Region.

Graduates of the Ochsner’s Women's Health Residency will be well prepared to sit for the Women’s Health Clinical Specialist (WCS) examination, along with becoming an integral part of the community through the creation of research, and community outreach.
