Fellowship Life - Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program

As fellowship wellness is a major priority for our programs, several initiatives are in place to promote work-life balance:

Monthly meetings with the Program Director, associate PD and or Chairman to address any fellow concerns
Monthly meetings held separately with Chief fellows to address any fellow concerns
Monthly outings with the division faculty and staff
Quarterly happy hours with the Women in Cardiology
Journal Clubs held at restaurants
1 sponsored national conference for every first year fellow

New Orleans is a unique city with a rich history and culture influenced by French, Spanish, African, and Caribbean traditions. In the birthplace of jazz, you will find live music every night of the week on Bourbon and Frenchman Streets. You will be transported through our 300-year history when strolling under the oak tree-lined streets of the Garden District and joining a second-line parade through the French Quarter.

New Orleans has one of the most vibrant culinary scenes with everything from the neighborhood Po-Boy stand to five-star restaurants celebrating our Cajun and Creole cuisine. While New Orleans is known historically for its European and Afro-Caribbean roots, the multicultural culinary tradition continues with our vibrant Vietnamese and Honduran communities.

While New Orleans is best known for Mardi Gras, the party continues throughout the year with our more than 130 festivals celebrating everything our city has to offer. Some of the local favorites include the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and the French Quarter Festival.

New Orleans is home to many sports teams including the Saints and the Pelicans. Once you go to the Superdome, you will truly understand why the Saints have the best fans in the NFL! Who Dat Nation!
