Most resident rotations are performed at the Jefferson Hwy Hospital, which is a major tertiary facility in the South. Our interventional section performs over 15,000 coded angiographic and interventional procedures annually. There is a wide range of procedures to include interventional oncology procedures, dialysis access, venous interventions, neuro interventional procedures as well as routine interventional radiology procedures. Residents work alongside staff with supervision. In the interventional section, Independent Interventional Radiology residents will perform procedures with staff on call.

The Ochsner Medical Center - Kenner campus provides access to one of the largest Neuroendocrine centers in the country. By rotating at this campus, our residents will gain training in this rare disease process. The rotation will further improve the residents' interventional oncology experience by providing additional exposure to embolization and ablation procedures as well as management of these complex patients. Additionally, this campus performs all routine interventional radiology procedures with all our faculty.

During the Interventional Cardiology rotation at Ochsner at Kenner, the Independent Interventional Radiology resident will gain invaluable experience in peripheral arterial interventions to include diagnostic lower extremity angiography, angioplasty, stent placement, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, venous disease (both acute and chronic), and pulmonary embolus management. The resident will also rotate with the interventional cardiology attending both in the inpatient and clinic settings.

The Ochsner Baptist campus predominantly focuses on women's health. Residents will gain extensive exposure to treatment and management of uterine fibroids as well as pelvic congestion syndrome. The rotation will further improve the residents' interventional radiology experience by providing additional exposure to embolization procedures as well as management of these patients. Routine interventional radiology procedures are also performed at this campus.

Advanced imaging technology including state-of-the-art radiology equipment and modern information systems are available at all 4 participating sites. Epic Radiant is our Radiology Information System (RIS) and allows for analytics and tracking. Epic also acts as our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and it is kept up to date. Since 2019, our departmental Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) has been vital. The dictation system is 3M M*Modal Fluency, also implemented in 2019.
