Clinical Experience - Transplant Institute - Surgical Fellowship Program - Draft
We give our fellows graduated autonomy, paying close attention to decision making and operative performance.
- Fellows participate in the evaluation of potential recipients and live donors.
- Fellows manage transplant patient care with the help of a multidisciplinary team.
- Fellows gain experience in all aspects of multidisciplinary team management.
- Along with transplant operations, fellows have the opportunity to be involved with surgical operations on previous and listed transplant patients. These include complex urologic operations, bile duct reconstructions, native nephrectomies, hernia repairs and other procedures.
Transplant patients are supported by a Critical Care team and 10 advanced practitioners.
