Research & Scholarly Activity - Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship Program

Fellowship year is the year to take a deep dive into Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain literature, both current and historical. We encourage our fellows to use their Academic day, which is one day per week, to further their knowledge of their specialty. Fellows are responsible for performing a research project, and we often work collaboratively with the Orthopaedic department. Fellows present their research and other interesting case series and reports at the annual spring ASRA conference.
Journal Club
Journal Club is an opportunity to have open discussions about old and new articles. We hold 6 journal clubs a year at various local restaurants, and staff, residents, fellows, and our Regional/APS nurses attend. It is a time for our fellows and residents to present several articles and their opinions on such topics. It is also a time to relax and enjoy the team comradery. As the saying goes in New Orleans, Laissez Bon Temps Rouler!
