The Transplant Hepatology Fellowship at Ochsner, approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), is a one-year program that focuses on pre- and post-liver transplant care and offers advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of acute and chronic liver diseases. The program's graduates will be qualified to take the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Transplant Hepatology Certification Exam and eligible of working independently as transplant hepatologists. Training future clinical and academic leaders in liver transplantation and hepatology is the program's main objective.
