Diagnostic Radiology Residents Research poster

Ochsner is committed to a multi-disciplinary, clinically integrated research program of biomedical innovation and discovery with the ultimate goal of improving the health and wellness of our patients.

Ochsner has a focus on a culture of continual improvement in the fields of quality measures, patient safety, systems practices and much more.

Our vision at Ochsner is that everyone has the best health care possible, and we believe to achieve this goal we must be continually striving to improve ourselves. Quality and performance improvement is a key initiative at our institution with a focus on improving the safety of our patients through the science of improvement. We emphasize innovation, teamwork, and systems practices in a multidisciplinary setting to create sustainable changes. For our residents, we begin by teaching you the foundations of improvement, safety, system design, and leadership through our online CITI course and via access to the Institute for Healthcare Improvements Open School. We continue your educational development through a series of interactive workshops led by our Graduate Medical Education Office.

Our staff resources are extensive with free support in data retrieval, biostatistics/epidemiology, grant/proposal development and medical editing-to name a few-all with the intention of helping you achieve your goals.
