James Milburn, MD, MMM, FACR, FSNIS, specializes in radiology at Ochsner Health. Dr. Milburn is Vice Chair of the Ochsner Department of Radiology Department and Professor of Radiology at the University of Queensland. He serves as Program Director for the radiology residency and also Director of Neurointerventional Services at Ochsner. Dr. Milburn attended University of Missouri-Kansas City Medical School followed by diagnostic radiology residency at Ochsner. He performed fellowship training in diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University. As a Program Director, Dr. Milburn cultivates a collegial atmosphere while motivating residents to become successful. He is an active researcher and educator, with primary interests in stroke and brain aneurysm treatment, neuroimaging, and resident education. Dr. Milburn has held multiple board positions which include the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery, American Society of Neuroradiology, and the Journal of Neurointerventional Surgery.

Dr. Vernard Fennell has been on staff as a neurosurgeon with Ochsner Health since 2020. He received his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2009 and completed his internship and residency in neurosurgery at the University of Arizona. He completed his fellowship in neuroendovascular surgery at University at Buffalo. Dr. Fennell went on to complete a clinical spine fellowship at the University of Arizona - Tucson, and skull base and cerebrovascular fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute. Dr. Fennell is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

Dr. Gabriel A. Vidal obtained his medical degree from Central del Caribe, SOM, in Puerto Rico - his native country. He went on to complete his internship at the Louisiana State University in New Orleans, where he also completed his neurology residency and served as chief resident.

During Hurricane Katrina, Dr. Vidal was an active participant in the evacuation efforts, serving as a volunteer physician at a Red Cross Evacuation Center in Baton Rouge, LA. He completed his vascular neurology fellowship training at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and his interventional neurology fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center. His areas of special interest are vascular and interventional neurology, with an emphasis on acute treatment and secondary prevention of ischemic strokes as well as management of intracerebral hemorrhages and subarachnoid bleeds. He joined the Ochsner staff in 2009.

Dr. Vidal led the efforts that culminated with Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans being named the first certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in the Gulf South.

Dr. Paul Gulotta received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, followed by an Interventional Radiology fellowship from the University from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After returning to New Orleans, Dr. Gulotta completed an additional fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology at Ochsner and has been on the staff since 2015. He is also the assistant program director for the Ochsner Radiology Residency program. Dr. Gulotta is a member of the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery (SNIS), American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) and the Association of University Radiologists (AUR).
