The Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship utilizes the Electronic Residency Application Service® (ERAS®) as its primary resource for reviewing fellowship applications. Please explore the ERAS site for more information on requirements, the application process, and important dates. You may also contact the Program Manager via email for specific inquires.
USMLE and/or COMLEX scores through STEP 3 MUST be included in the ERAS application.
Candidates for admission to any of Ochsner Health's residency and fellowship programs must have one of the following qualifications to be eligible for appointment.
Settings include a quaternary care center, community hospitals, and local hospice agencies.
Fellows gain experience with busy inpatient consult services, on our very own hospice and palliative medicine inpatient unit, and within our robust outpatient clinics.
Protected time for learning with didactic lectures, journal club, and national conference attendance.
Multidisciplinary team with physicians from different backgrounds (IM, EM, PEDs, Psychiatry and Geriatrics), advanced practice providers, licensed clinic social workers with specialized palliative training, and a dedicated board certified chaplain.
We are the only palliative care team in Louisiana and the Gulf South to earn The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval!
