The mission of Ochsner Medical Library is to deliver high-quality information and professional library services at no cost to Ochsner staff, community medical practices, research, education, and administration.
We serve the entire system. This includes Ochsner physicians, nurses, and staff at all campuses and affiliates, Ochsner faculty alumni, students studying or training at Ochsner, Ochsner patients, their families, and guests.

Ochsner Medical Library is physically located on the first floor main hallway between the clinic and hospital. It features study areas, computers, printers, copiers, scanners, and faxing service. After-hours access is available by request for employees with an Ochsner ID badge.
Ochsner Medical Library provides all traditional library research and reference services with nearly all of our resources available electronically.
You can check out books from our facility on the Jefferson Highway campus, or we can mail them to your location. Any needed article or book that we do not own, we will get from another source as quickly as possible, often with same-day electronic delivery. Reference books, rare books, bound volumes of print journals, and archival materials are restricted to onsite use only. To get started, search our Print Holdings Catalog.
