Fellows rotate through pain clinics at Ochsner Baptist, Back and Spine Clinic. Their main responsibilities are new patient evaluations and existing patient management. Fellows are expected to apply multidisciplinary approach for patient management including medication management, physical therapy, interventional treatment and psychological evaluations and treatment. Fellows are encouraged to participate in ongoing research projects and clinical trials. Under Faculty supervision, fellows will perform ultrasound-guided procedures aiming to treat a variety of musculoskeletal and neuropathic pain conditions.

Fluoroscopic -guided Procedures are performed at the state of the art procedural suite at Ochsner Baptist. Fellows will be exposed to a variety of interventional techniques ranging from simple nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation and the latest implantable technologies such as spinal cord stimulation trials and implants, intrathecal drug delivery and kyphoplasty. Spinal Cord Stimulation Implants and other surgeries such as kyphoplasty are performed at the a Ochsner Baptist Hospital main ORs.

Fellows will oversee the inpatient consultation service at Ochsner Main Campus. Fellows will also rotate though neurology, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, acute pain and palliative care services.
