Educational/Clinical Experience - Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship Program

A series of subspecialty conferences, seminars and journal clubs are regularly scheduled for the fellow through the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. These are held every morning (Monday thru Friday) in the Orthopedic Conference room at 6:30am.

There is a weekly Sports Medicine Service Conference which involves preoperative planning, case presentations, and patient complications which is held every Thursday morning at 6:15am in the neurosurgery conference room, 7th floor.

The bimonthly Sports Medicine grand rounds conference reviews pertinent topics in sports medicine on alternate Monday and Tuesday mornings. Participation by the fellow as both a lecturer and discussant is expected.

A monthly physician/physical therapist/athletic trainer conference is conducted at the Center for Sports Medicine and emphasizes rehabilitation protocols and special topics in sports medicine. The fellow will be expected to present at regional and national meetings. The fellow will be funded to attend one national sports medicine meeting during the year.
