The fellow is expected to participate in ongoing research and also complete one basic science or clinical project for presentation and publication in the course of the year. To help in his research endeavors, the fellow will have 24 hour access to the clinic and hospital to pull and review patient charts, on-line medical library for search capabilities, and research support personnel, such as biostatistician. Fellows will also have the opportunity to collaborate with outside biomechanical engineers and PhD who conduct basic science research in the area of orthopedics.
