Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia

During the EM3 year, Ochsner Emergency Medicine residents complete a four-week external rotation at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta through Emory University.

This experience allows residents to train within another major academic and urban clinical environment and learn from a different patient population, healthcare system, faculty and institutional approach to emergency care.

Emergency physicians may practice in many different clinical environments after graduation. Training across institutions helps residents develop flexibility, broaden their clinical perspective and carry lessons from multiple systems into their future practice.

Ochsner provides an apartment for each resident during the rotation and reimburses mileage for travel to and from Atlanta.
