Outstanding clinical education by accomplished, experienced and dedicated faculty
Training on the full spectrum of continuous and prolonged intermittent forms of renal replacement therapy (CRRT, PIRRT), from continuous venovenous hemodiafiltration (CVVHDF) to sustained low efficiency dialysis (SLED)
Unique training in kidney ultrasonography and point-of-care ultrasound. “Vscan GE” hand-held devices available for the fellow rotating in inpatient consultation
In-depth training in cardiorenal disorders and extracorporeal cardiac devices supported by a busy Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Institute
In-depth training in hepatorenal disorders rooted on active leading clinical research and one of the largest liver transplant programs in the nation
One-of-a-kind curriculum in urinary sediment microscopy in a fully mounted laboratory with digital imaging
Six elective/scholarly months over the two-year fellowship to promote mentored research and peer-reviewed publications
Clinical-pathological video conferences with leader in the nation Vanderbilt University School of Medicine
Single hospital at main campus for all calls, inpatient rotations, clinics and conferences, thus, no commuting necessary
